What's the difference between multi-group posting and WhatsApp Business API broadcasts?
WhatsApp Business API (Cloud API) sends 1:1 template messages to opted-in contacts and, via the Groups API, only to small new API-created groups (max 8 participants). It cannot reach your existing large groups. Multi-group platforms post into groups your numbers are already in, which the Cloud API does not support.
Can Meta's WhatsApp Groups API post into my existing large groups?
No. Meta's Groups API is limited to small, invite-only API-created groups with a maximum of 8 participants. If you already manage groups with 50-500+ members, Meta's Groups API cannot post into those existing groups. You can manage up to 10,000 small API groups per number, but the 8-participant cap makes it unsuitable for typical community or marketing groups.
How does pacing work and why does it matter?
